i love this game and the ending just wants me to know more about the universe and world we are in its such a cool concept with a great art style i have thalassophobia but it got me emerged in this creature with the need to survive and eat his previous predators. i really hope you will make a sequel or more of these type of games because its amazing keep up the great work

Thank you for the game. What a ending.
(+3)

Thank you for this amazing game!
You can check my full game playthrough here:

This game is so weird its hard to even talk about.

Where do you even start with such a bizarre experience?

The artstyle and music are both gorgeous and do a excellent job at building a creepy and unsettling atmosphere.

I like the unexpected twist at the end, the game never goes where you expect it to go and that's part of the charm

(+1)

This was a truly interesting game. Terrifying at times and the ending had such a sense of "I'm no longer in control of my fate" it was frustrating and really good. lol Great job Dev!

(-2)

(just finished) It was an interesting game, but that ending was unnecessary, instead of feeling accomplished about ending it I felt dread due to my lack of control.

(+7)

I have unfortunate spoilers about the next ~70 years...

(+1)

Yes that's how you're supposed to feel that's the whole point that's the whole point that's the whole point that's the whole point

(+2)

a different game

(+2)

This is nightmare fuel im telling ya
(+2)

It's a nice short game about a small zygote absorbing its way into a fetus. Loved the dark atmosphere and the overwhelming pressure of being swallowed yourself. Gonna have to find lore and theory videos of this game later on, especially about the ending bit.
(+2)

so fun and shock

(+3)

Hi there comment section :))

Um, so, I really love the concept of hunting creatures to "evolve", while getting to eat your previous predators and stuff

But I can't really find other games that work this way

Do y'all have any recommendations?

Well, sort of obvious, but worth mentioning: Spore. The cell stage is pretty much just this game more or less, but each stage doesn't last very long and the meat of the game is focused around the space stage.

(+1)

Oh I didn't know about that one, thanks! I'll look into it ^^

(+3)

Will Swallow the Sea release for mobile platforms?

(+1)

Hello Alex302,

Swallow the Sea is not currently planned to be ported to any other future platforms.

Our current focus is our latest release Brutal Orchestra however if any critical issues arise with Swallow the Sea we will return to resolve them.

(+2)

Yup, don't think I will be going into the sea ever again after this...

Thanks for the Nightmares🙂

(+1)

Awesome game. Great atmosphere.

(+2)

good game

Hey, I'm looking for a new horror game to play, but I don't do well with jumpscares- does this have any?

(+3)

Hey becket,

Swallow the Sea contains no jump scares. Swallow the Sea's "horror" elements come from the games oppressive atmosphere and dark themes.

Hopefully you have fun with it!

(+2)

What surreal and frightening game! Loved it.

(+3)

Great art and nice game

(+2)

Que assustador quando o verme roxo abre os olhos e começa a tocar uma música de tensão.

(+2)

Vai ter um segundo jogo... ?

(+2)

Being born never felt so raw

(+3)

That was much shorter than I expected, but was extremely good. Even the most powerful creatures are at mercy to humans.

(1 edit) (+2)

I really want to see more of this. Please let there be more it was so good.

(+2)

Short but very impressive!
